Moussandra Mediterranean & Tapas Restaurant @ KL PLAZA – Malaysia

Posted by foodees on March 29, 2009

Yesterday I went to this Mediterranean and Tapas restaurant in KL Plaza for lunch. Moussandra Mediterranean & Tapas Restaurant is a quite a cosy and romantic place with some huge candle lights surrounding the area. Then we started off with the appetizers.

The first one that we had was this deep fried Mozzarella cheese.  Definitely opened up our taste buds and was quite a special dish. There is some sort of a spaghetti sauce that goes along with the cheese but I liked it plain.

Then we had this meatballs in brandy sauce. I find the meatballs had a strong smell to my liking. It didn’t taste as good as it looks though.

The next dish that arrives was the Ternera Con Vino Tinto which is also known as Sauteed beef rib-eye in red wine sauce. It was just okay but it is certainly better than the earlier meatball.

Then we had our main course which was recommended by the chef. Lots of seafood swimming around as you can see from the picture.  There’s mussels, clams, prawns, fish meats etc. The rice was a little soggy, guess the cook had added too much water.

A meal is not complete without the appetizer. That’s true, hence we had to order their special dessert. I would say this was the best dish of all. It looks great and it taste great! The ice- cream was home-made and was really different with any other commercial ice-cream. Do give this a try if you are planning on to taste some Mediterranean food there…

Yeah, had a great night out. The place was totally romantic and the food was special. We even had a dish specially made outside the menu :-) , a soft shell crab Tapas. The desert creme brulee was the best. And don’t forget to try the Pizzas, it was a thin crust Salmon Pizza that was special.
